OTI Disclaimer The molecular sequence of this clone aligns with the gene accession number as a point of reference only. However, individual transcript sequences of the same gene can differ through naturally occurring variations (e.g. polymorphisms), each with its own valid existence. This clone is substantially in agreement with the reference, but a complete review of all prevailing variants is recommended prior to use. More info
OTI Annotation This clone was engineered to express the complete ORF with an expression tag. Expression varies depending on the nature of the gene.
Components The ORF clone is ion-exchange column purified and shipped in a 2D barcoded Matrix tube containing 10ug of transfection-ready, dried plasmid DNA (reconstitute with 100 ul of water).
Reconstitution Method 1. Centrifuge at 5,000xg for 5min.
2. Carefully open the tube and add 100ul of sterile water to dissolve the DNA.
3. Close the tube and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature.
4. Briefly vortex the tube and then do a quick spin (less than 5000xg) to concentrate the liquid at the bottom.
5. Store the suspended plasmid at -20°C. The DNA is stable for at least one year from date of shipping when stored at -20°C.
Note Plasmids are not sterile.  For experiments where strict sterility is required, filtration with 0.22um filter is required.

Protein Pathways Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
MW 53.7 kDa
Summary This gene encodes a cytoskeletal protein found in neurons of the peripheral nervous system. The encoded protein is a type III intermediate filament protein with homology to other cytoskeletal proteins such as desmin, and is a different protein that the peripherin found in photoreceptors. Mutations in this gene have been associated with susceptibility to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008

AI Summary: OriGene's myc-tagged peripherin plasmid (RC207561) was used in rescue experiments to restore peripherin expression after silencing, enabling the authors to assess the specific role of peripherin in regulating lysosomal activity and autophagy.
Snippet: Peripherin belongs to heterogeneous class III of intermediate filaments, and it is the only intermediate filament protein selectively expressed in the neurons of the;GAATT-3′ and antisense sequence 5′-UUCUUCUUCUAACCUCUGCTT-3′). In rescue experiments, 48 h after silencing, cells were transfected with a plasmid coding for myc-tagged peripherin purchased from Origene (RC207561, Rockville, MD, USA) and using Metafectene Pro from Biontex following the manufacturer’s instructions. …

AI Summary: OriGene products, specifically plasmids encoding Neurofilament heavy chain (NFH; #RC213487), Neurofilament medium chain (NFM; #RC224475), Neurofilament light chain (NFL; #RC205920), and Peripherin (PRPH; #RC207561), were used to identify and confirm autoantibody targets in patients with neurological post-COVID-19 vaccination syndrome.
Snippet: vity against neuronal intermediate filament antigens was adapted from previously published protocols (13). In brief, commercially available plasmids encoding Neurofilament heavy chain (NFH;#RC213487 Origene, Rockville, MD, USA), Neurofilament medium chain (NFM;#RC224475 Origene), Neurofilament light chain (NFL;#RC205920 Origene), Peripherin (PRPH;#RC207561 Origene), and Alpha-Internexin (INA

Nat Commun (2019) 10 (1), 1777 DOI: 10.1038/s41467-019-09719-4
AI Summary: OriGene’s PRPH cDNA (NM_006262.3) in the pCMV6-Entry mammalian expression vector (RC207561) was used to generate plasmids for functional studies of PRPH splice variants, enabling the authors to assess the impact of the disease-associated mutation on protein structure and function.
Snippet: ormalized by sequencing depth. Generation of PRPH splice variant plasmids The full-length PRPH cDNA (NM_006262.3) in pCMV6-Entry mammalian expression vector including a Myc-DDK tag was obtained from Origene (RC207561). Plasmids for the 4 bp- and intron-retention splice variants were generated by mutating the full-length PRPH plasmid in two separated PCR reactions using Q5 site-directed mutagene
