Allergic Diseases

Allergies, also known as allergic diseases, are a number of conditions caused by hypersensitivity of the immune system to something in the environment that usually causes little problem in a lot of people.

Many cytokine/chemokine molecules are known to be involved in the allergy reactions. The type 2 immune response is the major protective mechanism against metazoan parasites and is simultaneously characteristic of allergy. In a recent research, the TAM family receptor tyrosine kinase TYRO3 was discovered to limit the magnitude of the immune response against allergens in the context of type 2 immunity. This discovery provides a new therapeutic target for allergic diseases. (Pamela Y. Chan et al. Science.)

OriGene has developed highly specific TYRO3 antibodies for FC, IHC, IF, WB and IP.

In general, elevated levels of IgE indicate an increased probability of an IgE-mediated hypersensitivity, responsible for allergic reactions. Learn more about OriGene IgE ELISA Kits.
