Need control DNA for your forensic lab? OriGene has the answer…

The female (9947A) and male (9948) control DNAs are U.S forensic DNA standards formally validated by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and previously used by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The genomic DNA is isolated from 9947A and 9948 cell lines formally served as positive controls in various applications:

  • Ancestry Determination
  • Population Genetics
  • Paternity Tests
  • Crime Resolution
  • Reference DNA for Nextgen sequencing

Legacy Association: Previously referenced to NIST SRM 2391b , which has since been retired by NIST.

Current Standard: The active reference material is now NIST SRM 2391d.

FD200002 remains a reliable control DNA sample for forensic workflows, though it is no longer directly traceable to a current NIST SRM.
