Lentivirus is a simple and efficient gene delivery tool, especially for hard-to-transfect cells. Lentiviral particles can be packaged by co-transfection of lentiviral transfer vector (contains your gene of interest) and essential viral genes (lentiviral packaging plasmids) into HEK293T cells.
