Recombinant Antibodies
OriGene's broad selection of monoclonal antibodies includes several recombinant antibodies, that are produced animal and animal-component-free using synthetic genes expressed in a defined in vitro cell line.
Though recombinant antibodies are standard in the pharmaceutical industry, these antibodies have not been as widely available for research. This is starting to change, however, due to the significant benefits recombinant antibodies offer over traditional hybridoma-produced monoclonal antibodies.
Currently, more than 1000 recombinant antibodies are available at OriGene!
Advantages
- Animal and animal-component-free
- Low endotoxin levels
- Monovalent (highly specific to a single antigen), chimeric, bispecific, and other antibodies
- Higher lot to lot reproducibility
- Chimeric, bispecific, and other antibodies
Biosimilars
Biosimilars are biological compounds, almost identical to a reference biologic drug that have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for medical treatment. Research-grade biosimilars are research tools for analysis of biological processes without the need to purchase expensive therapeutic-grade biologics.
Anti-Tag antibodies
Antibodies to different epitope and fluorescent protein tags to optimize the detection and purification of the recombinant proteins like anti DDK, c-Myc tag or FITC.
Blocking antibodies
Antibodies that prevent other antibodies to bind to the respective antigen without having a reaction when binding itself.
Isotype controls
Through antibody engineering we have generated a standardized panel of isotype controls. Superior reproducibility and purity are obtained through the use of recombinant antibodies.
