OTI Disclaimer The molecular sequence of this clone aligns with the gene accession number as a point of reference only. However, individual transcript sequences of the same gene can differ through naturally occurring variations (e.g. polymorphisms), each with its own valid existence. This clone is substantially in agreement with the reference, but a complete review of all prevailing variants is recommended prior to use. More info
OTI Annotation This clone was engineered to express the complete ORF with an expression tag. Expression varies depending on the nature of the gene.
Components The ORF clone is ion-exchange column purified and shipped in a 2D barcoded Matrix tube containing 10ug of transfection-ready, dried plasmid DNA (reconstitute with 100 ul of water).
Reconstitution Method 1. Centrifuge at 5,000xg for 5min.
2. Carefully open the tube and add 100ul of sterile water to dissolve the DNA.
3. Close the tube and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature.
4. Briefly vortex the tube and then do a quick spin (less than 5000xg) to concentrate the liquid at the bottom.
5. Store the suspended plasmid at -20°C. The DNA is stable for at least one year from date of shipping when stored at -20°C.
Note Plasmids are not sterile.  For experiments where strict sterility is required, filtration with 0.22um filter is required.

Summary This gene encodes a member of the G protein-coupled receptor kinase family of proteins. The encoded protein phosphorylates the beta-adrenergic receptor as well as a wide range of other substrates including non-GPCR cell surface receptors, and cytoskeletal, mitochondrial, and transcription factor proteins. Data from rodent models supports a role for this gene in embryonic development, heart function and metabolism. Elevated expression of this gene has been observed in human patients with heart failure and Alzheimer's disease. provided by RefSeq, Sep 2017

Agonist-selective NOP receptor phosphorylation correlates in vitro and in vivo and reveals differential post-activation signaling by chemically diverse agonists
Mann, Moulédous, Froment et al
Sci Signal (2019) 12 (574) DOI: 10.1126/scisignal.aau8072
AI Summary: OriGene contributed human GRK2 plasmids to this study, enabling the investigation of GRK2’s role in NOP receptor phosphorylation and signaling.
Snippet: Plasmids DNA for the hNOP receptor and hNOP receptor mutants was generated via artificial synthesis and cloned into pcDNA3.1 by imaGenes and Eurofins, respectively. The coding sequence for an N-terminal HA-tag was added. Human GRK2 and GRK3 plasmids were obtained from OriGene and transOMIC, respectively
Osteogenesis is improved by low Tumour Necrosis factor-α concentration through the modulation of Gs-coupled receptor signals
Daniele, Natali, Giacomelli et al
Mol. Cell. Biol. (2017)
AI Summary: OriGene products, specifically the GRK2 plasmid and the corresponding empty vector, were used to manipulate GRK2 expression in mesenchymal stem cells, enabling the study of how TNF-α modulates osteogenesis through Gs-coupled receptor signaling.
Snippet: TNF-α. The, cells were incubated with 1 µg either of GRK2 plasmid (Origene, MD, USA) or the 170 corresponding empty vector (OriGene, MD, USA) for 30 h. Transfected MSCs were rapidly seeded 171 in 24 well plate and subjected to the cAMP assay, as described ... All 2 versions Cite SaveSaving

AI Summary: OriGene products contributed to this study by providing the GRK2 plasmid and the corresponding empty vector, which were used to manipulate GRK2 expression in oligodendrocyte precursor cells to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying OPC maturation.
Snippet: according to the manufacture's instructions. In detail, OPCs were electroporated with 1 μg either of GRK2 plasmid (Origene) or the corresponding empty vector (OriGene, MD) with the O-017 program. After electroporation, cells were ... Cite SaveSaving
