| Reconstitution Method | 1. Centrifuge at 5,000xg for 5min. 2. Carefully open the tube and add 100ul of sterile water to dissolve the DNA. 3. Close the tube and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature. 4. Briefly vortex the tube and then do a quick spin (less than 5000xg) to concentrate the liquid at the bottom. 5. Store the suspended plasmid at -20°C. The DNA is stable for at least one year from date of shipping when stored at -20°C. |

| Summary | This gene encodes an integral membrane protein that belongs to the Class A rhodopsin superfamily of G protein coupled receptors. The encoded protein is expressed primarily in the central nervous system. A knockdown of the orthologous gene in rat is associated with a significant reduction in food intake and impaired decision making ability. Mutations in this gene are associated with schizophrenia, autism, and other neuropsychiatric disorders. The expression of this gene is activated by the glioma-associated oncogene homolog 1 transcription factor which, in turn, is activated by sonic hedgehog in normal and tumorigenic cells. provided by RefSeq, Feb 2017 |
