OTI Disclaimer The molecular sequence of this clone aligns with the gene accession number as a point of reference only. However, individual transcript sequences of the same gene can differ through naturally occurring variations (e.g. polymorphisms), each with its own valid existence. This clone is substantially in agreement with the reference, but a complete review of all prevailing variants is recommended prior to use. More info
OTI Annotation This clone was engineered to express the complete ORF with an expression tag. Expression varies depending on the nature of the gene.
Components The ORF clone is ion-exchange column purified and shipped in a 2D barcoded Matrix tube containing 10ug of transfection-ready, dried plasmid DNA (reconstitute with 100 ul of water).
Reconstitution Method 1. Centrifuge at 5,000xg for 5min.
2. Carefully open the tube and add 100ul of sterile water to dissolve the DNA.
3. Close the tube and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature.
4. Briefly vortex the tube and then do a quick spin (less than 5000xg) to concentrate the liquid at the bottom.
5. Store the suspended plasmid at -20°C. The DNA is stable for at least one year from date of shipping when stored at -20°C.
Note Plasmids are not sterile.  For experiments where strict sterility is required, filtration with 0.22um filter is required.

Summary This gene encodes a member of the granin family of acidic secretory glycoproteins that are expressed in endocrine cells and neurons. The encoded preproprotein undergoes proteolytic processing to generate multiple functions peptides including pancreastatin, catestatin and serpinin. The encoded protein plays important roles in the neuroendocrine system including regulated secretion of peptide hormones and neurotransmitters. Mice lacking the encoded protein exhibit elevated blood pressure which can be rescued by transgenic expression of the human ortholog. provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015

AI Summary: In this paper, OriGene products—including Baiap3 shRNA (TL513553), Baiap3 cDNA (MR227729), and anti-BAIAP3 antibody (TA326306)—were used to manipulate and detect Baiap3 expression in vitro and in vivo, enabling the authors to elucidate Baiap3’s role in regulating serotonin release and depressive behaviors in mice.

AI Summary: OriGene’s GFP-tagged CgA ORF clone (MG207386) was used in this study to investigate the role of dense core vesicle trafficking in prefrontal cortex neurons, contributing to the understanding of Baiap3’s regulation of depressive behaviors in mice.
Snippet: Baiap3 (256 003) was purchased from Synaptic Systems (Gottingen, Germany). Antibody for CgA (ab15160) was purchased from Abcam (Cambridge, UK). GFP-tagged CgA ORF clone (MG207386) was purchased from OriGene Technologies (Rockville, MD). Mmu-miR-329 and mmu-miR-362 mimics and inhibitors were synthesized by Macrogen (Seoul, Republic of Korea). 2.8 Tail suspension test (TST) The TST was conducted a
