Background Specificity of vesicular transport is regulated, in part, by the interaction of a vesicle-associated membrane protein termed synaptobrevin/VAMP with a target compartment membrane protein termed syntaxin. These proteins, together with SNAP25 (synaptosome-associated protein of 25 kDa), form a complex which serves as a binding site for the general membrane fusion machinery.
Synonyms HsT17016; SNAP-23; SNAP23A; SNAP23B

KRAS regulation by small non-coding RNAs and SNARE proteins
Che, Siprashvili, Kovalski et al
Nat Commun (2019) 10 (1), 5118 DOI: 10.1038/s41467-019-13106-4
AI Summary: In this study, OriGene products including SNAP23 (Cat# RC201307), SNAP29 (Cat# RC203410), and VAMP3 (Cat# RC201670) expression plasmids were used to investigate how SNARE proteins influence KRAS localization and signaling in the context of SNORD50A/B regulation.
Snippet: …KRAS proximity protein labeling was therefore undertaken in SNORD50A/B wild-type and knockout cells, revealing that SNORD50A/B RNAs shape the composition of proteins proximal to KRAS, notably by inhibiting KRAS proximity to the SNARE vesicular transport proteins SNAP23, SNAP29, and VAMP3. …
