Summary The protein encoded by this gene is a DNA binding homeobox transcription factor involved in embryonic stem (ES) cell proliferation, renewal, and pluripotency. The encoded protein can block ES cell differentiation and can also autorepress its own expression in differentiating cells. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015
shRNA Design These shRNA constructs were designed against multiple splice variants at this gene locus. To be certain that your variant of interest is targeted, please contact techsupport@origene.com. If you need a special design or shRNA sequence, please utilize our custom shRNA service.

CD133(+) cancer stem cells promoted by VEGF accelerate the recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma
Liu, Hao, Ouyang et al
Sci Rep (2017) 7, 41499 DOI: 10.1038/srep41499
AI Summary: OriGene products contributed to this study by providing lentiviral shRNA constructs targeting Nanog and VEGFR2, which were used to investigate the roles of these genes in cancer stem cell function and hepatocellular carcinoma recurrence.
Snippet: described 16 . Briefly, cells were transfected with lentiviral constructs expressing shRNAs for Nanog, VEGFR2 (OriGene, MD, USA) or sh Ctrl for 24 hours. Positive cells were selected with puromycin for 7 days. Recombinant ... All 5 versions Cite SaveSaving
