Summary This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that are structurally related to snake venom disintegrins and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. Expression of this gene has been used as a maternal serum marker for pre-natal development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Shorter isoforms are secreted, while longer isoforms are membrane-bound form. provided by RefSeq, Jan 2014
shRNA Design These shRNA constructs were designed against multiple splice variants at this gene locus. To be certain that your variant of interest is targeted, please contact techsupport@origene.com. If you need a special design or shRNA sequence, please utilize our custom shRNA service.

AI Summary: OriGene products, specifically the ADAM12-pGFP-C-shLenti shRNA construct (cat. no. TL306850), were used in this study to knock down ADAM12 expression, enabling the researchers to investigate the role of ADAM12 in promoting epithelial-mesenchymal transition and metastasis in colorectal cancer.
Snippet: sion. Empty-pcDNA6-myc vector was used as a negative control of ADAM12 overexpression. Knockdown of ADAM12 was carried out using ADAM12-pGFP-C-shLenti short hairpin RNA constructs (cat. no. TL306850;Origene Technologies, Inc.) and ADAM12-small interfering (si)RNA duplex (5′-GAC UAC AAC GGG AAA GCA A-3′;Bioneer). Scrambled siRNA (AllStars Negative Control siRNA;cat. no. 1027281) and scramble

AI Summary: OriGene products, specifically the ADAM12-pcDNA6-myc (overexpression plasmid) and ADAM12-pGFP-C-shLenti (shRNA knockdown lentiviral plasmid), were used in this study to manipulate ADAM12 expression in colorectal cancer cells and xenograft models, enabling the authors to demonstrate ADAM12’s role in promoting tumor progression and inhibiting apoptosis.
