Summary This gene encodes a protein related to the Lon protease protein family. In rodents and other mammals this gene product is found in the cytoplasm localized with a calcium channel membrane protein, and is thought to play a role in brain development. Mutations in this gene are associated with autosomal recessive nonsyndromic cognitive disability. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010
shRNA Design These shRNA constructs were designed against multiple splice variants at this gene locus. To be certain that your variant of interest is targeted, please contact techsupport@origene.com. If you need a special design or shRNA sequence, please utilize our custom shRNA service.

Lenalidomide Stabilizes the Erythropoietin Receptor by Inhibiting the E3 Ubiquitin Ligase RNF41
Basiorka, McGraw, De Ceuninck et al
Cancer Res (2016) 76 (12), 3531-40 DOI: 10.1158/0008-5472.CAN-15-1756
AI Summary: In this study, OriGene products—specifically the EpoR and RNF41 gene expression vectors—were used to transfect HEK293T cells, enabling the authors to investigate how lenalidomide modulates erythropoietin receptor stability via the E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF41.

Lenalidomide Stabilizes the Erythropoietin Receptor by Inhibiting the E3 Ubiquitin Ligase RNF41
Basiorka, McGraw, De Ceuninck et al
Cancer Research (2016)
AI Summary: In this study, OriGene's shCRBN-specific shRNA (TG305228) construct was used to knock down CRBN expression in UT7 cells, enabling the investigation of lenalidomide's effect on erythropoietin receptor stability.
Snippet: hours. Scrambled and shCRBN-specific shRNA (TG305228) constructs were purchased from Origene Technologies, Inc (Rockville, MD). Six million UT7 cells were suspended in 100 µL of electroporation solution (Ingenio Solution, Mirus Bio LLC., CITY) and 5 µg ... Cite SaveSaving
