Tag | Tag Free |
Predicted MW | 16.3 kDa |
Purity | >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining |
Buffer | Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 20mM Tris, 0.3M NaCl, 2mM EDTA, pH 8.0 |
Endotoxin | Endotoxin level is < 0.1 ng/µg of protein (< 1 EU/µg) |
Reconstitution Method | Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O. It is not recommended to reconstitute a concentration less than 100 µg/ml. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles. |
Storage | Lyophilized protein should be stored at < -20°C, though stable at room temperature for 3 weeks. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-7°C for 2-5 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20°C for 3 months. |
Stability | Stable for at least 6 months from date of receipt under proper storage and handling conditions. |

Summary | This gene is a member of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) gene family, which encode negative regulatory proteins that prevent apoptotic cell death. IAP family members usually contain multiple baculovirus IAP repeat (BIR) domains, but this gene encodes proteins with only a single BIR domain. The encoded proteins also lack a C-terminus RING finger domain. Gene expression is high during fetal development and in most tumors, yet low in adult tissues. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011] |
