Background The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the dynamin superfamily of GTPases. Members of the dynamin-related subfamily, including the S. cerevisiae proteins Dnm1 and Vps1, contain the N-terminal tripartite GTPase domain but do not have the pleckstrin homology or proline-rich domains. This protein establishes mitochondrial morphology through a role in distributing mitochondrial tubules throughout the cytoplasm. The gene has 3 alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms. These transcripts are alternatively polyadenylated. provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008
Synonyms DLP1; DRP1; DVLP; DYMPLE; EMPF; EMPF1; HDYNIV

Liu, Gan, Zhao et al
J Biomed Mater Res A (2018)
AI Summary: OriGene's rabbit anti-Drp-1 antibody (#TA506153) was used in this study to detect the expression of mitochondrial fission protein Drp-1, helping to assess mitochondrial function changes in human gingival fibroblasts exposed to TEGDMA from resin composites.
Snippet: After blocked, the membranes were incubated with different primary antibodies in 4 °C overnight, namely rabbit anti-Drp-1(1:1000, #TA506153, Origene), anti-Mfn2 (1:1000, #2433629, Millipore) and mouse anti-β-actin (1:8000, #ab6276, ABCam)
