Background Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in cell motility, structure and integrity, processes that are crucial for tissue development and the development of organism. The actin cytoskeleton is one of the principal drivers of cell motility and is capable of responding to complex signaling cascades. Recent evidence suggests that it may play key roles in regulating apoptosis and aging. beta actin is one of six different actin isoforms which have been identified. Like GAPDH, ?-actin is constitutively expressed at high levels in almost all tissues and cell lines making it ideal for use as a loading control marker in immunoblots.

Serine starvation induced APOE expression through promoting RXRB lactylation in tumor-associated macrophages
Ye, Xiong, Luo et al
Communications Biology (2026)
AI Summary: OriGene products—anti-ACTB (#TA310155) and anti-VLDLR (#TA383248S) antibodies—were used in this study to detect protein expression levels, supporting the investigation of molecular mechanisms underlying serine starvation-induced APOE expression in tumor-associated macrophages.
Snippet: from Cell Signaling Technology (USA);anti-ACTB (#TA310155, 1:2000) and anti-VLDLR (#TA383248S, 1:1000) were purchased from Origene (USA);and anti-pan-Klac (#1401RM, 1:1000) was obtained from PTM Bio (China)
Targeting Wnt/β-catenin signaling enhances the efficacy of anti-CD38 immunotherapy in multiple myeloma
Li, Chen, Gregorova et al
Neoplasia (2025) 70, 101242 DOI: 10.1016/j.neo.2025.101242
AI Summary: OriGene contributed to this study by providing the β-actin antibody (TA310155), which was used as a loading control in Western blot experiments to assess protein expression levels.
Snippet: Protein samples were separated by 10% SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and subsequently blotted. The antibodies used were the following: β-actin antibody (Origene, Shanghai, China, TA310155), phospho-STAT3 (Ser727) antibody (Cell Signaling Technology, Massachusetts, USA, #9134), STAT3 (124H6)
