Background Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. Its various actions are mediated by a family of histamine receptors, which are a subset of the G-protein coupled receptor superfamily. This gene encodes a histamine receptor that is predominantly expressed in haematopoietic cells. The protein is thought to play a role in inflammation and allergy reponses.

AI Summary: In this study, OriGene products—specifically the anti-H4R antibody (Cat# TA326017) and the anti-IL-31 antibody (Cat# TA506771)—were used for immunofluorescence analysis to detect and visualize the co-localization of H4R and IL-31 in skin tissue samples from atopic dermatitis patients.
