Product Data
Applications IHC
Recommended Dilution Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 10 - 15 µg/ml.
Reactivities Human, Monkey
Host Rabbit
Clonality Polyclonal
Immunogen Synthetic 18 amino acid peptide from C-terminus of human BDKRB1
Specificity Reacts with Human Bradykinin B1 Receptor (Family: GPCR; Subfamily: Bradykinin), C-terminal domain.
Bradykinin B1 receptor is generally only minimally expressed under normal physiological conditions, but the expression is induced rapidly under pathologic conditions such as ischemia, atheromatous disease, or exposure to inflammatory cytokines. Expression has been reported in brain, colon, kidney, lung, nasal mucosa, pancreas, prostate, skin, spinal cord, and vessel. ESTs have been isolated from normal human connective tissue libraries and in human kidney and skin cancer libraries.
Formulation PBS containing 0.09% Sodium Azide as preservative
State: Aff - Purified
State: Liquid purified Ig fraction
Concentration lot specific
Purification Immunoaffinity Chromatography
Conjugation Unconjugated
Storage Store undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C to -70°C for longer.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Stability Shelf life: one year from despatch.
Background Bradykinin Receptor B1 (BKB1) has been implicated in inflammation and nociception. BKB1 receptor is rapidly induced under many inflammatory conditions such as colitis and hyperalgesia, allergic rhinitis, and inflammation. In vitro studies have implicated lipopolysaccharide, interleukins, and interferon as effectors in the rapid induction of BKB1 receptor expression. BKB1 receptor-deficient mice are healthy, fertile, and normotensive but show blunted response to lipopolysaccharide-induced hypotension, reduced migration into inflamed tissues by polymorphonuclear leukocytes, and reduced activity-dependent facilitation of a spinal nociceptive reflex.
Synonyms BRADYB1, BKB1R, BKR1, B1 bradykinin receptor, Bradykinin B1 Receptor, BK-1 receptor, B1R
