| Background | Anti-B-Phycoerythrin Antibody generated in rabbit recognizes Phycoerythrin. Phycoerythrin (PE) is a red protein-pigment present in red algae and cryptophytes and an accessory pigment to the main chlorophyll pigments responsible for photosynthesis. B-phycoerythrin and R-phycoerythrin is predominantly produced by red algae. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition. |
| Synonyms | rabbit anti-B-Phycoerythrin Antibody, rabbit anti B-Phycoerythrin, rabbit anti Phycoerythrin |
| Note | Anti-B-Phycoerythrin has been tested by western blot and is suitable for dot blot, ELISA, immunoprecipitation and most immunological methods requiring high titer and specificity. |
