Summary This gene encodes a member of the forkhead class of DNA-binding proteins. These hepatocyte nuclear factors are transcriptional activators for liver-specific transcripts such as albumin and transthyretin, and they also interact with chromatin. Similar family members in mice have roles in the regulation of metabolism and in the differentiation of the pancreas and liver. provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008
shRNA Design These shRNA constructs were designed against multiple splice variants at this gene locus. To be certain that your variant of interest is targeted, please contact techsupport@origene.com. If you need a special design or shRNA sequence, please utilize our custom shRNA service.

Forkhead box protein A1 is a prognostic predictor and promotes tumor growth of gastric cancer
Ren, Zhang, Tang et al
Onco Targets Ther (2015) 8, 3029-39 DOI: 10.2147/OTT.S91035
AI Summary: OriGene products, specifically the FOXA1-specific shRNA (TR312942) and the non-targeting vector (TR30012), were used to manipulate FOXA1 expression in gastric cancer cells, enabling the study to investigate FOXA1's role in tumor growth and prognosis.
Snippet: The non-targeting vector (TR30012, OriGene, Beijing, People's Republic of China) or the FOXA1-specific short hairpin RNA (shRNA) (TR312942, OriGene) was transfected into gastric cancer cells using Lipofectamine 2000 following the manufacturer's instructions ( ... Cite SaveSaving
