Bioactivity Assay #1: The ED50 was determined by the stimulation of IFN-gamma production by murine splenocytes co-stimulated with IL-18 is < 0.1 ng/ml (> 1 x 107 units/mg). Assay #2: Determined by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of 2D6 cells. The expected ED50 is ≤0.1ng/ml (≥1 x 107 units/mg).
Endotoxin < 0.1 ng /µg of protein (<1EU/µg).
Reconstitution Method The lyophilized Murine IL-12 is soluble in most aqueous buffers. Restore in 1 x PBS pH 7.2-7.4 to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml.
Do not vortex. This solution can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 1 week. For extended storage, it is recommended to further dilute in a buffer containing a carrier protein (example 0.1% BSA) and store in working aliquots at -20°C to -80°C.
