This product is designed to eliminate the non-specific binding caused by the endogenous avidin or biotin like substances in immunohistochemistry and cytochemistry, when either avidin or Streptavidin/biotin is used as the signal amplification system.

IHC background staining of FFPE human kidney tissue within normal limits with or without pretreatment using Avidin/Biotin Block Kit E08-18. The brown stain indicates non-specific binding caused by endogenous avidin or biotin, and blue is the counter stain. It is mounted using a permanent organic mounting medium E37-100.
