Gene Name phospholipase C delta 3
Database Link
Background This gene encodes a member of the phospholipase C family, which catalyze the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate to generate the second messengers diacylglycerol and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3). Diacylglycerol and IP3 mediate a variety of cellular responses to extracellular stimuli by inducing protein kinase C and increasing cytosolic Ca(2+) concentrations. This enzyme localizes to the plasma membrane and requires calcium for activation. Its activity is inhibited by spermine, sphingosine, and several phospholipids. provided by RefSeq.

HPV16 Utilizes Phospholipase C (s) for its Genome Egress
Keiffer, Siddiqa, Represa-Perez et al
bioRxiv (2026)
AI Summary: In this study, OriGene products contributed by providing cDNA constructs for overexpression of FLAG-tagged PLCβ4 (RC217903) and PLCδ4 (RC202935), the empty vector pCMV6 (SKUPS100001), and the anti-PLCδ3 antibody (AP53337PU-N), enabling the researchers to investigate the roles of specific phospholipase C isoforms in HPV16 genome egress.
Snippet: Constructs encoding cDNA to overexpress C-terminally tagged FLAG PLCβ4 (Origene, RC217903) and PLCδ4 (Origene, RC202935), along with empty vector pCMV6 (Origene, SKUPS100001) were purchased commercially. The anƟbodies used for Western blots were anƟ-PLCδ3 (Origene, AP53337PU-N), anƟPLCγ1(Cell Signaling Technology, #2822S),
