Summary | AuroraA is a part of the protein kinase superfamily. AuroraA is a serine/threonine kinase that contributes to the regualtion of cell cycle progression while also playing critical roles in various mitotic events like cytokinesis. This protein is required for both the intitation of activating CDK1 at the centrosomes and normal axon formation. AuroraA also phosphorylates its own inhibitors to inhibit their activity. |
