Close the tube and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature.; 4. Briefly vortex the tube and then do a quick spin (less than 5000xg) to concentrate the liquid at the bottom.; 5. Store the suspended plasmid at -20°C. The DNA is stable for at least one year from date of shipping when stored at -20°C.

• Summary: This gene likely encodes a member of the adaptin-ear-binding coat-associated protein family. Studies of a similar protein in rat suggest a role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]; Transcript Variant: This variant (2) lacks an alternate exon in the 3' coding region compared to variant 1 that causes a frameshift. The resulting protein (isoform 2) has a distinct C-terminus compared to isoform 1.
