HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Cat# PS100001, Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY TFR2 (Cat# RC220060, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-TFR2(Cat# TA504592). Positive lysates LY401114 (100ug) and LC401114 (20ug) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

  Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from 9 different cell lines by using anti-TFR2 monoclonal antibody.

  Anti-TFR2 mouse monoclonal antibody (TA504592) immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected by pCMV6-ENTRY TFR2 (RC220060).

• 

  HEK293T cells transfected with either RC220060 overexpress plasmid (Red) or empty vector control plasmid (Blue) were immunostained by anti-TFR2 antibody (TA504592), and then analyzed by flow cytometry.

• Background: This gene encodes a single-pass type II membrane protein, which is a member of the transferrin receptor-like family. This protein mediates cellular uptake of transferrin-bound iron, and may be involved in iron metabolism, hepatocyte function and erythrocyte differentiation. Mutations in this gene have been associated with hereditary hemochromatosis type III. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
