Reconstitution | 1. Centrifuge at 5,000xg for 5min. 2. Carefully open the tube and add 100ul of sterile water to dissolve the DNA. 3. Close the tube and incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature. 4. Briefly vortex the tube and then do a quick spin (less than 5000xg) to concentrate the liquid at the bottom. 5. Store the suspended plasmid at -20°C. The DNA is stable for at least one year from date of shipping when stored at -20°C. |

Gene Summary | Endoplasmic reticulum transmembrane protein involved in vesicle-mediated transport, which is required for neutrophil function. Required for vesicle-mediated transport; it is however unclear whether it is involved in early secretory pathway or intracellular protein transport. Acts as a regulator of neutrophil function, probably via its role in vesicle-mediated transport: required for defense against fungal pathogens and for granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) signaling pathway; possibly by regulating glycosylation and/or targeting of proteins contributing to the viability and migration of neutrophils.[UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Function] Transcript Variant: This variant (2) differs in the 5' UTR, lacks an exon in the coding region and uses a downstream, in-frame start codon, compared to variant 1. The encoded isoform (2) has a shorter N-terminus, compared to isoform 1.
