Applications | ELISA, WB |
Recommended Dilution | Direct ELISA: To detect Human IL-20 by direct ELISA (using 100 µl/well antibody solution) this antibody can be used at a concentration of ~0.25-1.0 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 2000-4000 pg/ml of recombinant Human IL-20. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human IL-20 by Sandwich ELISA (using 100 µl/well antibody solution) this antibody can be used at a concentration of ~1.0 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with Purified anti-IL-20 Antibody (Cat.-No PP1209P1 or PP1209P2) as a Capture Antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000-4000 pg/ml of recombinant Human IL-20. Western Blot: To detect Human IL-20 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Human IL-20 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. |

Background | IL20 is a cytokine structurally related to interleukin 10 (IL10). This cytokine has been shown to transduce its signal through signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) in keratinocytes. A specific receptor for this cytokine is expressed in skin and upregulated dramatically in psoriatic skin, suggesting a role for this protein in epidermal function and psoriasis. |
