OTI Disclaimer | The molecular sequence of this clone aligns with the gene accession number as a point of reference only. However, individual transcript sequences of the same gene can differ through naturally occurring variations (e.g. polymorphisms), each with its own valid existence. This clone is substantially in agreement with the reference, but a complete review of all prevailing variants is recommended prior to use. More info |
OTI Annotation | This clone was engineered to express the complete ORF with an expression tag. Expression varies depending on the nature of the gene. |

Gene Summary | Inactivates MAP kinases. Has a specificity for the ERK family (By similarity). Plays an important role in alleviating acute postoperative pain (PubMed:24155322, PubMed:28405172). Necessary for the normal dephosphorylation of the long-lasting phosphorylated forms of spinal MAPK1/3 and MAP kinase p38 induced by peripheral surgery, which drives the resolution of acute postoperative allodynia (PubMed:24155322). Also important for dephosphorylation of MAPK1/3 in local wound tissue, which further contributes to resolution of acute pain (PubMed:28405172).[UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Function] |
