Gene Name angiotensinogen
Background Angiotensin II (Angiotensin 1-8) is a naturally occurring peptide hormone of the renin- angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS). It consists of eight amino acids and causes vasoconstriction and an increase in blood pressure. Besides these immediate effects, it also enhances or modulates inflammation, endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis. This antibody was generated by immunization of guinea pigs with Angiotensin II coupled to a carrier protein.
Synonyms angiotensinogen; ANHU; FLJ92595; FLJ97926; pre-angiotensinogen; SERPINA8
