HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Cat# PS100001, Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY LZTS1 (Cat# RC210424, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-LZTS1 (Cat# TA810241)(1:2000). Positive lysates LY412145 (100ug) and LC412145 (20ug) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

  Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from Jurkat cell lines by using anti-LZTS1 monoclonal antibody (1:500).

• Background: This gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein that is ubiquitously expressed in normal tissues. In uveal melanomas, expression of this protein is silenced in rapidly metastasizing and metastatic tumor cells but has normal expression in slowly metastasizing or nonmetastasizing tumor cells. This protein may have a role in cell-cycle control by interacting with the Cdk1/cyclinB1 complex. This gene is located on chromosomal region 8p22. Loss of heterozygosity (LOH) in the 8p arm is a common characteristic of many types of cancer. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
