HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Cat# PS100001, Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY NPPA (Cat# RC203236, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-NPPA (Cat# TA809559)(1:2000). Positive lysates LY401862 (100ug) and LC401862 (20ug) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

  Western blot analysis of extracts (35ug) from mouse heart tissue lysate by using anti-NPPA monoclonal antibody (1:500).

• 

  Immunohistochemical staining of paraffin-embedded Human adult heart tissue within the normal limits using anti-NPPA mouse monoclonal antibody. (Heat-induced epitope retrieval by 1mM EDTA in 10mM Tris buffer (pH8.5) at 120°C for 3min, TA809559) (1:500)

• Background: The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the natriuretic peptide family. Natriuretic peptides are implicated in the control of extracellular fluid volume and electrolyte homeostasis. This protein is synthesized as a large precursor (containing a signal peptide), which is processed to release a peptide from the N-terminus with similarity to vasoactive peptide, cardiodilatin, and another peptide from the C-terminus with natriuretic-diuretic activity.
