Specificity Anti-Protein A (GOAT) Antibody is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above.  Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Protein A [Staphylococcus aureus]. Cross reactivity against Protein A from other sources is unknown.

Background Protein A is 56 kDA surface protein found in the cell wall of Staphylococcus aureus. Protein A has a high affinity to Human IgG, Mouse IgG and others and is therefore suitable for purification and detection of immunoglobulins. Horse Radish Peroxidase (HRP) is an enzyme that utilize organic peroxide compounds as electron donors. Naturally provides protection for plants against pathogens, but can be utilized in molecular biology to convert various substrates to detectable compounds (such as in Western Blotting and ELISAs). Anti-Protein A (GOAT) Antibody is ideal for researchers in Immunology, Cancer, and Microbiology.
Synonyms goat anti-Protein A Antibody, HRP Conjugated goat anti-Protein A Antibody, Protein A Peroxidase, Protein A HRP Antibody
Note This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Protein A [Staphylococcus aureus] in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:10,000 to 1:40,000 is suggested for this product.
