This should ensure antibody stability for approximately one month.

• Background: Big Endothelin-1 (1-38) is a biological precursor of endothelin 1 (1-21). It is cleaved to yield endothelin-1 via the activity of an endothelin-converting enzyme (ECE), a membrane-bound metalloproteinase, that leads to the active Endothelin (1-21) and to the biological inactive C- terminal fragment (22-38). Big Endothelin-1 can be hydrolyzed by chymase to generate endothelin 1 (1-21) in vitro. This antibody was generated by immunization of rabbits with Big Endothelin-1 coupled to a carrier protein.
