Immunogen Synthetic peptide (the amino acid sequence is considered to be commercially sensitive) within Human SSTR5(NP_001044). The exact sequence is proprietary.
Formulation Lyophilized powder (original buffer 1X PBS, pH 7.3, 8% trehalose)
Reconstitution Method For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100uL distilled water to a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL. To use this carrier-free antibody for conjugation experiment, we strongly recommend performing another round of desalting process. (OriGene recommends Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7KMWCO from Thermo Scientific)

Stability Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.
Gene Name somatostatin receptor 5
Background Somatostatin and its related peptide cortistatin exert multiple biological actions on normal and tumoral tissue targets by interacting with somatostatin receptors (SSTRs). The protein encoded by this gene is one of the SSTRs, which is a multi-pass membrane protein and belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which inhibit adenylyl cyclase, and different regions of this receptor molecule are required for the activation of different signaling pathways. A mutation in this gene results in somatostatin analog resistance. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified in this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
