Purification Ammonium Sulphate Precipitation and Ion Exchange Chromatography
Conjugation Unconjugated
Storage Store the antibody lyophilized at 2-8°C and reconstituted at 2-8°C for one week or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer.
If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation.
Stability Shelf life: one year from despatch.
Background Alanine Transaminase [glutamic pyruvate transaminase - GPT] participates in cellular nitrogen metabolism and also in liver gluconeogenesis starting with precursors transported from skeletal muscles. Pyridoxal phosphate is a known cofactor. Expression is induced by glucocorticoids. This enzyme is present in a high concentration in liver tissue and it's release into the blood indicates liver disease or damage.
Synonyms GPT, AAT1, GPT1
