OTI Disclaimer: Our molecular clone sequence data has been matched to the reference identifier above as a point of reference. Note that the complete sequence of our molecular clones may differ from the sequence published for this corresponding reference, e.g., by representing an alternative RNA splicing form or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP).
Product Components: The cDNA clone is shipped in a 2-D bar-coded Matrix tube as dried plasmid DNA. The package also includes 100 pmols of both the corresponding 5' and 3' vector primers in separate vials. Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of OriGene TrueClones.

RefSeq Explanation: BC008629.1, AAH08629
RefSeq Size: 1759 RefSeq ORF: 1101
Synonyms : FTHFSDC1;DKFZp586G1517; FLJ21145; MTC1THFS; dJ292B18.2; OTTHUMP00000017418; formyltetrahydrofolate synthetase domain containing 1; mitochondrial C1-tetrahydrofolate synthase; mitochondrial C1-tetrahydrofolate synthetase; methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydro
LocusID: 25902 Cytogenetic: 6q25.1 Domains: FTHFS
Gene Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the synthesis of tetrahydrofolate (THF) in the mitochondrion. THF is important in the de novo synthesis of purines and thymidylate and in the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011].
