Homo sapiens adaptor-related protein complex 3, mu 2 subunit (AP3M2), transcript variant 2
AP47B; CLA20; P47B
This gene encodes a subunit of the heterotetrameric adaptor-related protein comlex 3 (AP-3), which belongs to the adaptor complexes medium subunits family. The AP-3 complex plays a role in protein trafficking to lysosomes and specialized organelles.

Western Blot: AP3M2 Antibody - Western Blot was performed using affinity purified SEQer AP3M2 antibody, aa(321-418) antibody. The lanes contain 5-30ug of a whole cell extract. Final concentration of antibodies = 0.1ug/ml (1:10,000 dilution). The blot was probed overnight with the SEQer AP3M2 antibody, aa(321-418) antibody. Blot was then washed according to protocol and probed with goat-anti-Rabbit-HRP conjugate at 1:5000 dilution, washed and developed using chemiluminescence (film exposure 5-30sec). The protein was detected as represented by the band shown.
Immunohistochemistry: AP3M2 Antibody - Normal tissues showed moderate to strong cytoplasmic staining. Gastro-intestinal glandular cells, hepatocytes and the thyroid exhibited strong staining. The malignant tissues displayed mainly moderate positivity. Strong staining was observed in most cases of colo-rectal cancers but also observed in occasional cases of other malignancies. Skin cancers generally displayed weak staining. Image and statement courtesy of the Human Protein Atlas (HPA).
