Otubains are deubiquitylating cysteine proteases (DUBs; see MIM 602519) that belong to the ovarian tumor (OTU) protein superfamily. Like other DUBs, otubains cleave proteins precisely at the ubiquitin (UB; see MIM 191339)-protein bond.[supplied by OMIM].

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY OTUB2 (RC209650, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-OTUB2.
HEK293T cells transfected with either RC209650 overexpress plasmid(Red) or empty vector control plasmid(Blue) were immunostained by anti-OTUB2 antibody(TA501946), and then analyzed by flow cytometry.
