Homo sapiens ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal esterase L1 (ubiquitin thiolesterase) (UCHL1)
Synonyms:
PARK5; PGP 9.5; PGP9.5; PGP95; Uch-L1
Immunogen
A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human PGP9.5 was used as an immunogen.
Buffer
Store at -20C. Buffer: 50 mM Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 0.15 M NaCl, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% sodium azide and 0.05% BSA. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.
PGP9.5 belongs to the peptidase C12 family. This enzyme is a thiol protease that hydrolyzes a peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. It is specifically expressed in the neurons and in cells of the diffuse neuroendocrine system. Mutations in PGP9.5 may be associated with Parkinson disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
