FunctionGrowth Hormone Receptor is a member of the type I cytokine receptor family, which is a transmembrane receptor for growth hormone. Binding of growth hormone to the receptor leads to receptor dimerization and the activation of an intra- and intercellular signal transduction pathway leading to growth. Mutations in Growth Hormone Receptor have been associated with Laron syndrome, also known as the growth hormone insensitivity syndrome (GHIS), a disorder characterized by short stature. In humans and rabbits, but not rodents, growth hormone binding protein (GHBP) is generated by proteolytic cleavage of the extracellular ligand-binding domain from the mature growth hormone receptor protein (1).

ICC/IF - Anti-Growth hormone receptor antibody; TA310531 staining Growth hormone receptor in a Human Glioblastoma cell line by ICC/IF (ICC/IF). Cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with TBS Tween 0.5% and blocked for 60 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with primary antibody 1:100 for 20 hour at 4°C. An Alexa Fluor?594-conjugated Goat anti-rabbit IgG polyclonal(1/200) was used as the secondary antibody.
Flow Cytometry - Anti-Growth hormone receptor antibody [EPR5291(2)]; Flow cytometrical analysis of permeabilized BxPC-3 cells labelling Growth hormone receptor (red) with TA310531 at 1/100 and a rabbit IgG in negative (green).
