|Homo sapiens c-abl oncogene 2, non-receptor tyrosine kinase (ABL2), transcript variant b|
|This gene encodes a member of the Abelson family of nonreceptor tyrosine protein kinase. The protein is highly similar to the ABL1 protein, including the tyrosine kinase, SH2 and SH3 domains, and has a role in cytoskeletal rearrangements by its C-terminal F-actin- and microtubule-binding sequences. This gene is expressed in both normal and tumor cells, and is involved in translocation with the ETV6 gene in leukemia. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different protein isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]|

Western Blot: ABL2 Antibody - Lane 1, Marker: 250, 130, 95, 72, 55, 36, 28, 17, 11 Ln 2, RT-4 Ln 3, U-251MG sp Ln 4, Human Plasma Ln 5, Liver Ln 6, Tonsil, Target weight: 128, 116, 110 (splice variants) Validation score: 2.
Immunohistochemistry: ABL2 Antibody - Distinct nuclear expression was often detected in neuronal cells, glial cells and primary spermatocytes. Weak to moderate nuclear expression, often combined with cytoplasmic positivity, was observed in normal and malignant tissues. Malignant gliomas exhibited nuclear staining of varying intensity.
