Promyelocytic leukemia (PML) colocalized with endogenous tripartite motif-containing protein 22 (TRIM22) in Hep-2 cells treated with IFN-gamma. Hep-2 cells were incubated with IFN-gamma (OriGene TP721239) (150 U/ml) or with the vehicle for 48 hours and analyzed by immunofluorescence with anti-TRIM22 mouse monoclonal antibody and anti-PML rabbit polyclonal antibody. • Summary: This gene encodes a soluble cytokine that is a member of the type II interferon class. The encoded protein is secreted by cells of both the innate and adaptive immune systems. The active protein is a homodimer that binds to the interferon gamma receptor which triggers a cellular response to viral and microbial infections.
