OTI Annotation: This clone was engineered to express the complete ORF with an expression tag.
OTI Disclaimer: The molecular sequence of this clone aligns with the gene accession number as a point of reference only. However, individual transcript sequences of the same gene can differ through naturally occurring variations (e.g. polymorphisms), each with its own valid existence. This clone is substantially in agreement with the reference, but a complete review of all prevailing variants is recommended prior to use. More info
Product Components: The ORF clone is ion-exchange column purified, transfection-ready dried plasmid DNA, and shipped with 2 vector sequencing primers.
* The lysates used for this WB picture contain the overexpressed empty vector or the Myc-DDK tagged ORF clone.

Summary: This gene encodes the receptor for the tachykinin, substance P, also referred to as neurokinin 1. This gene belongs to a gene family of tachykinin receptors which are characterized by interactions with G proteins and contain seven hydrophobic transmembrane regions. This receptor has been associated with nitric oxide formation, and it has been localized to cholinergic and nitrergic neurons as well as on smooth muscle cells. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010].
