HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY AKT3 (RC221051, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-AKT3. Positive lysates LY401675 (100ug) and LC401675 (20ug) can be purchased separately from OriGene.

• Background: AKT3 is a member of the AKT, also called PKB, serine/threonine protein kinase family. AKT kinases are known to be regulators of cell signaling in response to insulin and growth factors. They are involved in a wide variety of biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, tumorigenesis, as well as glycogen synthesis and glucose uptake.
