  Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human testis tissue reacted with POMT1 Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase conjugated to the secondary antibody and followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of POMT1 Antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

• 

  Flow cytometric analysis of U251 cells using POMT1 Antibody (C-term) (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

• Background: The protein encoded by this gene is an O-mannosyltransferase that requires interaction with the product of the POMT2 gene for enzymatic function. The encoded protein is found in the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum. Defects in this gene are a cause of Walker-Warburg syndrome (WWS) and limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2K (LGMD2K). Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
