OTI Disclaimer: The molecular sequence of this clone aligns with the gene accession number as a point of reference only. However, individual transcript sequences of the same gene can differ through naturally occurring variations (e.g. polymorphisms), each with its own valid existence. This clone is substantially in agreement with the reference, but a complete review of all prevailing variants is recommended prior to use. More info
Product Components: The ORF clone is ion-exchange column purified, transfection-ready dried plasmid DNA, and shipped with 2 vector sequencing primers.

* The lysates used for this WB picture contain the overexpressed empty vector or the Myc-DDK tagged ORF clone.

Reference Data
RefSeq Explanation: NM_002862.3, NP_002853 RefSeq Size: 4131 RefSeq ORF: 2532
Synonyms : GPBB
LocusID: 5834 Cytogenetic: 20p11.21 Domains: phosphorylase
Gene Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is a glycogen phosphorylase found predominantly in the brain. The encoded protein forms homodimers which can associate into homotetramers, the enzymatically active form of glycogen phosphorylase. The activity of this enzyme is positively regulated by AMP and negatively regulated by ATP, ADP, and glucose-6-phosphate. This enzyme catalyzes the rate-determining step in glycogen degradation.
