OriGene Data
Vector: pCMV6-XL4 Insert Size: 1300 Restriction Site:
Sequence Data: Fully Sequenced ORF          5' Read Nucleotide Sequence          3' Read Nucleotide Sequence
OTI Annotation: The open reading frame of this TrueClone was fully sequenced and found to be a perfect match to the protein associated to this reference.
OTI Disclaimer: Our molecular clone sequence data has been matched to the reference identifier above as a point of reference. Note that the complete sequence of our molecular clones may differ from the sequence published for this corresponding reference, e.g., by representing an alternative RNA splicing form or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP).
Product Components: The cDNA clone is shipped in a 2-D bar-coded Matrix tube as dried plasmid DNA. The package also includes 100 pmols of both the corresponding 5' and 3' vector primers in separate vials. Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of OriGene TrueClones.
Protein Families: GPCRTransmembraneDruggable Genome
Protein Pathways: Calcium signaling pathwayNeuroactive ligand-receptor interaction
Reference Data
RefSeq Explanation: NM_199453.2, NP_955525
RefSeq Size: 1557 RefSeq ORF: 1137
Synonyms : 5-HT4; 5-HT4R
LocusID: 3360 Cytogenetic: 5q32
Gene Summary: This is one of the several different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins that stimulate adenylate cyclase. [UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot Function]

Transcript Variant: This variant (g), also known as E or G1, differs in the 5' UTR, 3' coding region and 3' UTR, compared to variant 1. The resulting isoform (isoform g) has a distinct C-terminus and is shorter than isoform b.
