Sequence Data: Fully Sequenced ORF          5' Read Nucleotide Sequence
OTI Annotation: The ORF of this clone has been fully sequenced and found to be a perfect match to NM_033624.2.
OTI Disclaimer: Our molecular clone sequence data has been matched to the reference identifier above as a point of reference. Note that the complete sequence of our molecular clones may differ from the sequence published for this corresponding reference, e.g., by representing an alternative RNA splicing form or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP).
Product Components: The cDNA clone is shipped in a 2-D bar-coded Matrix tube as dried plasmid DNA. The package also includes 100 pmols of both the corresponding 5' and 3' vector primers in separate vials. Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of OriGene TrueClones.
Reference Data
RefSeq: NM_033624.2, NP_296373
RefSeq Size: 4248 RefSeq ORF: 1887
Synonyms : FBX21
LocusID: 23014 Cytogenetic: 12q24.22 Domains: F-box
Summary: This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family which is characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, the F-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into 3 classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Fbxs class. Alternative splicing of this gene generates 2 transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Transcript Variant: This variant (1) contains an additional 21 nt fragment within the coding region, and thus encodes a 7 aa longer isoform than variant 2.
