OriGene Data
Vector: pCMV6-XL4 Insert Size: 5000 Restriction Site: NotI-NotI
Sequence Data: Fully Sequenced ORF          5' Read Nucleotide Sequence
OTI Disclaimer: Our molecular clone sequence data has been matched to the reference identifier above as a point of reference. Note that the complete sequence of our molecular clones may differ from the sequence published for this corresponding reference, e.g., by representing an alternative RNA splicing form or single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP).
Product Components: The cDNA clone is shipped in a 2-D bar-coded Matrix tube as dried plasmid DNA. The package also includes 100 pmols of both the corresponding 5' and 3' vector primers in separate vials. Every lot of primer is tested to provide clean sequencing of OriGene TrueClones.
Reference Data
RefSeq Explanation: NM_015213.2, NP_056028
RefSeq Size: 4965 RefSeq ORF: 3864
Synonyms : RAB6IP1
LocusID: 23258 Cytogenetic: 11p15.4
Gene Summary: This gene encodes a DENN-domain-containing protein that functions as a RAB-activating guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF). This protein catalyzes the conversion of GDP to GTP and thereby converts inactive GDP-bound Rab proteins into their active GTP-bound form. The encoded protein is recruited by RAB6 onto Golgi membranes and is therefore referred to as RAB6-interacting protein 1. This protein binds with RAB39 as well. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Mutations in this gene are associated with early infantile epileptic encephalopathy-49. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2017]

Transcript Variant: This variant (1) represents the predominant transcript, and encodes the longer isoform (1).
