Using Human Proteins as Antigens

OriGene subsidizes joint-development programs to generate mouse monoclonal antibodies using human proteins as antigens. Upon the acceptance of the request after OriGene’s evaluation, the participant contributes a portion of the development cost to receive 6 mg of purified antibodies (not including hybridomas), and OriGene will be responsible for:

Antigen preparation (human proteins expressed in human cell line with genuine mammalian post-translational modification, purified under native condition)

Mouse monoclonal antibody development

Antibody validations (WB on a panel of cell lines, IHC on 18 tissues, IF & ELISA)

Antibody production & affinity purification

Benefits of the programs:

Proteins with native conformation will be used as antigens. The protein-derived antibodies recognize native epitopes with high reactivity and specificity compared to peptide-derived antibodies

Antigens not required, OriGene will prepare the antigens

*Prices apply to direct orders through OriGene. Prices for international orders through local distributors will vary. The number of projects for each protein may be restricted, if a particular protein is at high demands.
** The hybridoma cells can be purchased under separate licensing aggrements.

Participants will receive the aggregated total of 6 mg of mouse monoclonal antibodies derived from 1-3 clones with validation data. The antibody validation results will be posted on OriGene’s website as reference information for antibody selection. Additional antibodies can be purchased at the time of delivery at $300 per mg up to 5 mg. Future purchases of the antibodies related to the project will be under OriGene’s catalog offering. A typical project will take 4-7 months upon acceptance from initiation to delivery. The hybridoma cells are not included under the program fee and can be purchased under separate licensing agreements.

Guarantee:
OriGene guarantees antibodies with detectable Western blot results of over-expression cell lysates.
